New Delhi: For the 13th month in a row, domestic car sales in India rose with sales for the month of November crossing 10 percent.

And as the domestic auto industry drives back slowly into recovery, domestic car sales in November stood at 1,73,111 units compared with 1,56,811 units in the same month last year, as per data released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

So, which of the various car makers in India sold the most vehicles? Let us take a look at the top selling car manufacturer for the month of November.

  • Maruti Suzuki India: India's leading car maker led again from the front having sold 1,10,599 units of its passenger cars, a rise in 10.57 percent from the same month in the previous year. It had sold 89,479 units during the same period in the previous year.
  • Hyundai Motors India: Driven by the newly launched SUV Creta, Hyndai's passenger vehicles sales increased by 22.92 percent to 43,651 units in November. However, the sale of its passenger cars jumped 6.55 percent to 37,771 units in November compared with 35,448 units in the same period of previous year.
  • Honda Cars: Sale of Hyndai Motors India's passenger cars stood at 14,276 units as against 11,612 units in the same month last year, up 22.94 percent.
  • Tata Motors: The sale of Tata Motors' domestic car dipped to 9,172 units compared with 10,286 units in the same month previous year, down 10.83 percent.
  • Mahindra & Mahindra: Riding on the success of its new model TUV300, Mahindra saw its sales rise 37.27 percent to 18,686 units as against 13,612 units in November last year.
