Chennai: German car maker BMW on Friday rolled out BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo. The locally produced car has been priced at Rs 42.75 lakh.
BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo will be available in a diesel variant (the BMW 320d Gran Turismo) at an all India ex-showroom price of Rs 42.75 lakh.
The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo features coupe-style roofline, frameless side windows, large luggage compartment and a flowing rear end with large load aperture. It is 200 mm longer and 81 mm taller than the 3 Series.
Besides, it is also equipped with rear spoiler that is automatically deployed when the car travels at 110 kmph and retracted at speeds below 70 kmph. The car can churn out 184 bhp at 4,000 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 380 Nm.
The vehicle is fitted with 2.0 litre BMW Twinpower turbo four cylinder diesel engine combing commonrail direct injection and can travel 0 to 100kmph in 7.9 seconds. The top speed is 226 kmph.
