Bajaj Auto motorcycle sales fall 12% in January

In the commercial vehicles category, its sales stood at 41,791 units, up 14 percent, as against 36,781 units in January 2014.

New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Monday reported 12 percent decline in motorcycle sales at 2,46,955 units in January 2015.

The company had sold 2,81,390 units in the year ago period, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a BSE filing.
BAL said exports rose four percent during the month to 1,42,992 units from 1,37,644 units in the same period a year ago.

In the commercial vehicles category, its sales stood at 41,791 units, up 14 percent, as against 36,781 units in January 2014.

The total vehicle sales of the company during last month stood at 2,88,746 units, down 9 percent, as against 3,18,171 units in the same month a year ago, the statement added.
