Mumbai: The debate on nepotism is stretching too far and just doesn’t seem to end! Ever since Kangana Ranaut accused Karan Johar of nepotism on his show ‘Koffee With Karan’ earlier this year, many members of the film industry have spoken about it directly or indirectly about it at various platforms.
Recently, when Kajol was asked to express her views about the same, she had an objective answer.
According to a report in India.com, while interacting with the media recently, Kajol said, “I think you all are doing it.” But later said, “I think it is a debate brought on by two personalities who have decided to quote-unquote each other.”
Interestingly, Kajol too hails from a family with film connections. Her grandmother Shobhana Samarth, her mother Tanuja and aunt Nutan were actresses. Her late father Shomu Mukherjee was a filmmaker.
For the uninitiated, Kajol and Karan were once thick friends. Their friendship hit the rocks before the release of her husband’s film – ‘Shivaay’ – which clashed with Dharma Productions’ ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Now the two have cut all communications!
On the work front, Kajol is gearing up for the release of her second Tamil film – ‘VIP2’ – starring Dhanush. The film happens to be her Tamil comeback after 20 years. She made her Tamil debut opposite Prabhudheva and Aravind Swami in 1997 with ‘Minsara Kanavu’.
