Mumbai: Kabir Khan’s next – Tubelight – a Salman Khan starrer is the biggest film to release since ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ hit the silverscreen on 28 April. Starring Telugu superstar Prabhas, the Telugu film which was dubbed in Hindi, went on to make a business of over Rs 500 crores! And with it a new benchmark has been set.
Salman’s previous releases – ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ in 2015 and ‘Sultan’ in 2016 (both Eid releases) proved to be blockbusters. And it’s time for the Bollywood heavyweight to exhibit his stardom once again.
Prior to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’, Salman has had a string of blockbuster releases – ‘Kick’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Wanted’. Besides these Eid releases, Salman had also had other films that proved to be quit a hit at the Box Office including – ‘Ready’, ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.
And now the big question is – Will Salman succeed in breaking the record created by Prabhas’s ‘Baahubali: the Conclusion’? To break this record, ‘Tubelight’ will have to cross the Rs 400 crore mark!
