New Delhi: The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' was unveiled a few days back and it has created a rage among the audience. The superstar will be returning back to the silver screen after more than a year time and that too in a never-seen-before avatar.

But, only days after the trailer launch, the film has landed itself into a trouble.

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa has registered a criminal complaint against Shah Rukh and filmmkaer Anand L Rao for showing the actor in undergarments wearing Sikh religious symbol 'Gatka Kirpan' in the film's poster.

As per Sirsa, the poster has created an outrage among Sikh community worldwide.

"As per the Sikh rehat maryada (a code of conduct and conventions for Sikhism, approved by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee), only an Amritdhari Sikh can wear gatra kirpan," Sirsa said in his complaint.

Sirsa also asked Aanand L Rai to delete the 'objectionable' scenes, failing which the Sikh community will protest at theatres to stop the film from screening. "Sikhs cannot tolerate such mischievous acts, either in films or in real life," Sirsa added.

The king of romance plays a happy-go-lucky guy named Bauua Singh in the movie whereas Anushka Sharma packs a powerful punch as a scientist who battles cerebral palsy. Katrina Kaif, on the other hand plays a glamourous movie star who suffers from alcohol addicton.

Aanand L Rai has directed 'Zero' which will hit the screens on December 21, 2018. The lead trio has previously worked together in legendary late filmmaker Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' (2012).
