New Delhi: Abhishek Kapoor who has given us hits like 'Rock On', 'Kai Po Che' and 'Fitoor' is now busy shooting for Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath, a film which is slated to hit the silver screen on 21st December 2018.
Expenses are running high as 7 crores have already been spent to create the sets of Kedarnath in Mumbai. The movie that will launch Sara Ali Khan opposite Sushant Singh Rajput will clash at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan's dwarf film both of which are now said to release on the same day. The first leg of the story has been shot against the beautiful landscapes of Kedarnath.
As per reports, the Kedarnath set is being built to shoot flood sequences. Sushant will be playing the role of a Pithoo and will be seen carrying people. His love interest will be played by Sara Ali Khan in the backdrop of a pilgrimage. The producers have suggested that the USP of the film is brotherhood.
The movie was initially scheduled to release in June but has been pushed forward so that important sequences, VFX, computer graphics are not compromised. The movie is produced by KriArj Entertainment and Guy in the Sky Pictures. Will this be another tragic love story or just about brotherhood? We will soon find out.
