New Delhi: For Bollywood, it is the season of fresh pairings. After Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar and Shah Rukh Khan-Mahira Khan rocking the Box Office this year, Ranveer Singh is likely to join forces with Katrina Kaif for the very first time in filmmaker Kabir Khan's next.

“So far, Kabir has not locked the lead actress. Two other actresses have been finalised, one is a newcomer and another has been suggested by Ranveer. If Katrina comes on board, it will be her first film opposite Ranveer,” DNA quoted a source as saying.

The movie, which is based on India’s 1983 cricket World Cup victory, will witness the 32-year-old hunk essaying the role of Kapil Dev. And, it is expected that the Jagga Jasoos diva will play the character of his better half - Romi Bhatia.

However, no official confirmation has been issued yet.
