Mumbai: Not too long ago, Govinda had slammed the makers of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ for using a movie still featuring him for publicity purposes even though he was no longer a part of the film. And now, Ranbir Kapoor, who has also produced the film, has taken the blame for chopping off the track which had the veteran actor.
According to a report in DNA, Ranbir during a recent interview said, “In an interview he said, “Unfortunately, the entire track has been chopped off; it is our fault, Basu and mine. We had started this film prematurely, without a complete script. The character had completely changed, and the film was taking so long. It is very irresponsible, and very unfair to cast a great legend like Govinda and not do justice to his role. We are apologetic, but it is the best thing for the film so we had to cut that track out.”
Directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ is way beyond its actual schedule. The film took too long than expected to complete and release.
The fantasy fiction, which also stars Katrina Kaif, will finally hit the silverscreen on July 14.
