New Delhi: A lot has been said and written about Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming movie 'Padmavati' in the last few month, all thanks to the 'controversy' surrounding its script. But, apparently, the 54-year-old director is trying his level best to sort thing out. Shahid Kapoor recently confirmed the same.

"Our attempt will be to shoot the film smoothly. And we just hope when the film releases people look at it in an unbiased way and after that they can say what they want to. Sanjay sir is keeping in mind the sentiments of the people. We will not do anything that will hurt people," PTI quoted the 'Shaandaar' hunk as saying.

'Padmavati' reportedly tells the story of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with Rajput queen Padmavati. Actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor star in the film.

Some groups have been protesting against the flick alleging distortion of facts in 'Padmavati' screenplay.
