Mahesh Bhatt avoids talking about 'Sadak 2'

New Delhi: Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's classic 1991 romantic drama 'Sadak' was loved by one and sundry. The film featured Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles and had noted actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar playing a path-breaking part of villain Maharani.

Sometime back, news about 'Sadak' sequel had caught the buzz and speculation was rife that Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra might join forces for the project.

However, after Alia and Sidharth recent break-up rumour, the possibility of them starring in 'Sadak 2' look bleak. Recently, when Mahesh Bhatt was asked about 'Sadak 2' cast he silently walked away and avoided the question.

Bhatt senior was present at the book launch of noted lyricist Sayeed Quadri. He has written several songs for the Bhatt camp. Quadri's book is titled 'Aawarapan'.

Alia and Sid made their Bollywood debut together in Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year' and later featured in 'Kapoor & Sons'. Of late rumours of them having calling it quits is doing the rounds.

With break-up buzz catching up, looks like 'Sadak 2' will have to wait!
