Mumbai: Fans went gaga over Amitabh Bachchan’s 'look in Thugs of Hindostan' soon after an image of a man sporting white beard, wearing a big head gear and specs surfaced online. Turns out that the ‘leaked’ picture is not a still from Thugs of Hindostan but that of an Afghan refugee named Shabuz in Pakistan.

Interestingly, the man in the ‘leaked’ pic bears striking resemblance to our very own megastar Bachchan.

An Instagram user Steve McCurry had shared the picture on the photo-sharing site in January.

His post read: “I made this portrait of Shabuz, age 68, an Afghan refugee in Pakistan. Many Afghans use only one name (sic).”

A few weeks ago, images of Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif besides Bachchan from the sets of the film had leaked online. And this had upset Aamir who wanted to keep looks of the characters under wraps until official release. Aamir has been sporting a nose pin and long curly hair these days for the film.

Also starring Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh, Thugs of Hindostan is a period adventure fantasy film directed by Dhoom helmer Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films.

Reportedly set in the backdrop of India under the British rule in the 19th century, Thugs of Hindostan is inspired by Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug. It revolves around the life of a thug and his gang who challenge the British Empire in the country.

The period action-adventure film is slated to hit theatres on Diwali this year. And we can’t wait to watch the film which has an impressive star cast.
