Tejashwi Yadav hits out at JD(U)-BJP tie up, says 'vendetta against me exposes their viciousness'

Patna: Former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday hit out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former ally Janata Dal (United), alleging they pursued a "vendetta politics" against him.

Expressing his anger on Twitter, the RJD leader and Lalu Prasad Yadav's son tweeted: "My performance perturbed our ally and BJP. Vendetta against me exposes their viciousness".

In another tweet Tejashwi wrote: "I entered in govt with a clean slate with a keen desire of writing a positive story for people of Bihar, only to find an opportunist rival.”

"Past baggage, though unjustified, didn't perturb me when I was entrusted to carry the expectations of people's mandate, in the role of Dy CM".

Meanwhile, venting his ire on the JD(U) chief, Lalu alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had "conspired" with the BJP to get graft cases filed against his family by central investigation agencies.

Nitish Kumar on Thursday took oath as Bihar Chief Minister at the head of a JD-U-BJP government, within hours of dumping the Grand Alliance.

He snapped ties late on Wednesday with Grand Alliance partners Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress over corruption charges against Tejashwi Yadav.
