Bihar: Four killed, two injured as car collides with pick up van in Muzaffarpur

Four persons were killed and two others injured on Wednesday when a car collided with a pick up van in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district.

Muzaffarpur: Four persons were killed and two others injured on Wednesday when a car collided with a pick up van in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, a police officer said.

The incident took place near Berai village within the limits of Gaighat police station on NH-57 when a car with six occupants collided with the pick up van.

Three persons, including the driver of the ill-fated car died on the spot, and two persons sustained injuries, Gaighat police station in-charge Md Sujauddin said.

The injured were admitted to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) where another occupant of the car, Nityanand Singh, succumbed to injuries, the IC said.

Singh, a resident Mumbai, was travelling in the car to Darbhanga district, the police officer said.

Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of two victims, while the deceased driver's name is Rama Mahto, Sujauddin said.
