One of the most prestigious film awards of the Bhojpuri film industry, the Bhojpuri Film Festival was held in Mumbai recently with much grandeur. The event was organised by Bhojpuri Panchayat and will be telecast on Oscars channel.
Various big stars of the Bhojpuri film industry attended the event and were awarded for their contribution to the entertainment world.
Amidst much mirth and merriment, superstar Ravi Kishan was awarded with the Best Actor (Critics) Award and Khesari Lal Yadav won the Best Actor award. The gorgeous Kajal Raghavani received the Best Actress award while the Bhojpuri 'Melody Queen' Akshara Singh was bestowed with the Best Actress (Critics) award. Also, Bhojpuri glamour siren Aamrapali Dubey was conferred with the most popular actor female award.
Talking about the next set of major awards, superstar Pawan Singh was awarded with the best singer Male award while Best Singer Female award went to Kalpana Patwari.
Coming to films, the best film of this year is 'Mehendi Laga Rakhna' and Best Director is Manjul Thakur.
The festival was organised at the Atharva College in Mumbai. People thronged the venue and guests from overseas were also present. The artists gave spellbinding performances and left the audience rooting for more.
