New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki is set to launch one of the most awaited cars, Ignis, in the automobile spaces on Friday, Janyary 13.
The carmaker has targeted the marketing pitch at the millennials.

The carmaker has the same same 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine and the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine which goes in Maruti Swift and Baleno. The new platform on which the engine is based is expected to make the car lighter, stronger, safer, more fuel efficient and quieter.
While the petrol engine churns out 83 hp at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm at 4,200 rpm, the diesel engine cranks out 75 hp at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm at 2,000 rpm
The car will be launched in Alpha, Delta, Zeta, Sigma transmission. The Sigma transmission will have petrol manual transmission, Delta and Zeta will have petrol and diesel in both manual and AMT, and Alpha will have petrol and diesel manual transmission only.

Safety: All the variants will be equipped with ABS with EBD system for better control at high speeds and on uncertain patches. Ignis is also fitted with ISOFIX seat Anchorage -- a child seat restraint system.
Like Baleno, Ignis complies side impact and offset crash regulations and pedestrian safety.
The car will be available at 197 Nexa outlets in about 115 cities in India.
The new model will be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki India’s Gurugram plant. The car is expected to be exported to South Asia and South East Asia.
