The Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute on Saturday celebrated its 33rd annual athletic meet in the national capital.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Air Vice Marshal Amar Ahuja and wife Mamta Ahuja, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Organisation & Ceremonials) and the Guest of Honour was Sonia Chahal, silver medalist and renowned World Boxing champion. The event was graced by Air Commodore Sanjay Sachdeva, Schools Adventure and Sports and CMC Air Force Schools, Aarti Sachdeva. 

After the welcome address of all the guests, the students from different classes performed different shows. At first, the KG class students from the Primary Wing presented a display, ‘Little Buds’ followed by the ceremonial march past. 

After the address by the Principal, Poonam S Rampal, the Annual Sports Report was presented which highlighted the achievements and progress of the school in the field of sports.

The students of the Aero Modelling Club also put up an a display of 'Yellowbird and Hunter planes'. The students of classes 1 and 2 also performed a drill. After that, the athletic events were held in which students participated in races.

A ‘Fitness Fusion’ was also presented by the students. Chahal, Ahuja and Mamta Ahuja gave away the medals and trophies during the victory ceremony.

The students interacted with Chahal and asked questions ranging from boxing, health and fitness.
